Details of all club activities and events are in the quarterly Newsletter the current edition of which can be found on the link here June Newsletter without film titles.  The next issue will be available in September.

The main news this month is that the refurbishment of the kitchen is now almost complete with just a few small matters to resolve.  The club reopened at the beginning of August and activates and events have resumed.  The kitchen looks great so thanks to Angie and her team and all who have contributed to the work on the kitchen.  Whilst the hall was closed we also had the wooden floor in the hall cleaned and re-sanded so that too looks great.  In addition, we have replaced the big screen in the hall as the old one was playing up and was difficult to get to lower smoothly.

During July we many of our members enjoyed the coffee mornings at the Methodists church and our thanks go to them for allowing us to use their facilities.

Coming up during the month of August we have all of the regular activities at the club details of which are shown on the calendar and on the club noticeboards.  We have our Harvest celebration a little earlier this year on Wednesday 2 September when Reverend Clive from Holy Trinity will lead the service which will be followed by the usual auction of produce.  The talk on 26 August is about “The Adventures of Ruffles”.
