The club has decided that rather than organise a completely separate event to mark the 80th anniversry of VE Day this will be done at the regular Thursday morning coffee which falls on the actual anniversary itself this year.  The coffee morning will be extended and will run from 10am until 12 noon; suitable background music will be played and we will also hold a singalong of war-time songs led by the Bishop Beveridge Singers to whom we are grateful for offering to take part.  As with all coffee mornings this will be open to anyone and no charge will be made; however, donations to club funds can be made.

If you wish please come along in war time dress and also please do bring along any memorabilia from that period if you would like to.
